One10 Group client Consolidated Land and Rail Australia Pty Ltd (CLARA) just won the ‘2020 Global Strategic Project of The Year’ as part of the 13th CG/LA Infrastructure forum.
This is great news, #CLARA was up against 250 major projects from around the world, narrowed down to the Top 100, then shortlisted to 15, then to 3 and then as #WINNER!
This is great work and so exciting to receive global recognition.
As CLARA CEO & Chairman Nick Cleary said in his acceptance speech (at 3am Thursday morning when it was announced) "this is a team effort, the great consortium, all our partners, our investors, our board and our supporters make all this possible".

Earlier this year CLARA also received approval of all four recommendations to the Federal Government. This includes undertaking a global market sounding to attract employment sponsors for the first city, forming project working groups consisting of Federal Government, NSW & VIC State Government and CLARA and progressing along the planning and approval pathways.
About the CLARA Plan
CLARA proposes to build a number of the world’s most liveable, sustainable, smart cities and connect them with a High Speed Rail system between Sydney and Melbourne via Canberra.
A CLARA smart city is establishing a new Australian dream where people and business can thrive in an environment designed for liveability, sustainability and connectivity. What makes a CLARA smart city remarkable is that for the first time in over 100 years we are designing a cities for people, not cars. By going back to the future, we are returning to a tried-and-tested model for urban life, one that centres around active, inclusive and connected neighbourhoods.
Imagine new cities where data is open, energy’s renewable, water is valued, homes are affordable and people can live within 10 minutes of all they need. Cities where world class healthcare meets high tech education. Where new and existing businesses will converge to create more vibrant regional economies. Cities built to unlock all human potential. Cities made possible by high speed rail that can place citizens in our capitals in less time than a morning commute. These are the regional smart cities CLARA is building.
The development of a new 21st century high speed rail service will provide a transport service Australians deserve and need, and will overcome the tyranny of distance between our cities and regional centres.
