You just came up with the perfect idea. You turn it over in your head for weeks, talk to your friends, do a little research, and decide to go for it. You seek counsel from the all-knowing Google. ‘How to start a business’ and come across a plethora of resources; everything from books to online courses promising to be the only thing you’re missing on your quest.
Your mouse rolls over a tool that has steadily been gaining a following in recent years: a deck of cards. No, not those. These cards are a playful, engaging, and a practical way to make progress in many areas of life.
We seem to be stuck in a digital world, using technology for almost everything, but to get the most value from some activities we have to get back to analogue, personal interaction, engaging discussion, debate and creative and critical thinking.
To avoid copyright issues, this post will refer to these cards as ‘Thinking strategy cards’. Thinking strategy cards replace suits and numbers with an interactive brainstorming experience. There are several of these decks on the market today.
